  1. Hello there,

My name is Nic Enright-Morin and I am a publicist for an upcoming event that I would love to send you an invite for.
It is for an art show called “the Faces of the People We Walk by Every Day” and the exhibition is of oil painting portaits of some of Vancouver’s most vulnerable members of society.
We are trying to get the word out about this exhibition and I would love to send you some more info.
I hope to hear from you soon.

  2. Hi! I live in Madison Wisconsin and often see homeless people on the street. Seeing them asking for change, meals, or worse yet just sitting in despair, I’ve wanted to help them but I haven’t been sure a dollar here or there would do much. I was thinking of trying to create an entrepreneurial opportunity for the homeless so they can develop a source of income as well as discover something they can get involved with.

I was driving home today and thought about a time I recently spoke with a homeless man while with my girlfriend, and thought it would be great to give to both of them by giving her flowers and paying the man for them! I was thinking of starting my own organization- Home Sweet Home, to sell flowers and other small, simple items throughout the year (ex. Hot chocolate or candy canes in the winter because it’s cold in Wisconsin). I googled if anything already existed and found your site!

My name is Alex and I think your organization has a lot of potential for growth. Madison is a rather liberal college town and I think would be very accepting/supportive of this effort. I would love to help you evaluate the possibility of bringing Flowers For Food to Madison. There are many flower stores in Madison, and I estimate a health supply of willing college students wanting to make a difference.

I think it might also be interesting to explore other possible products the homeless could sell.

I’ll toss my contact info below. With your help, I believe we could make a big impact in the lives of people who need a lift up. Let me know what you think.

    Best regards,

    1. Hello Karen,
Thank you for your interest in helping our society and cause. Yes, we are still in operation, however we are not operating at the moment. If I may suggest donating your flowers to a local seniors’ residence.
