Our Vision Statement

The Canadian Flowers for Food Society provides social and financial opportunities for senior citizens, homeless people, and/or those coping with severe mental illnesses. We accomplish this via donated potted plants and cut flowers. The beauty of giving in bloom: Thank you for helping us make better communities for everyone.

Donations needed for CFFFS operations and growth

We are a grassroots organization with no primary source of funding. Society members using our flowers on the streets keep 100% of all donations given to them. Please help us sustain and grow by making a small donation so we may continue providing amazing opportunities to more marginalized members in our communities.

The classes continue at the Oakridge Senior Centre with brilliant flowers and smiles for everyone.

In a joint venture with CFFFS, floral classes at the Living Room Shelter on Powell Street started on August 9th. These classes bring individuals from marginalized groups in our community  together to create arrangements which will then be displayed in businesses all across Vancouver. In return those businesses make donations back to the participating members of the classes. Know any businesses that want flowers to brighten their space? Then let us know!

As you can see from these pictures, the classes are already a blooming success!

Floral classes continue in its third year at the Haro Park Centre with fantastic arrangements being created for local Vancouver businesses. These arrangements will be distributed around the city and in return businesses donate back to the ladies at the Haro and CFFFS so we can keep running these programs!
